For almost 50 years, the Herd Seeder Company has been the industry standard for salt and sand spreaders for ice or snow removal; Kasco is proud to carry on that tradition. Our unique agitator design is aggressive enough for even wet or frozen material. The same consistent metering system for which we are known is used on our salt and sand spreader, ensuring an even throw pattern. The Scoop-n-Spread is designed to allow more productivity with less manpower. Simply tile the hopper forward, push into your sand pile until full, tilt back and spread sand. This gives you the chance to buy de-ice material in bulk for additional cost savings. With our aggressive agitator, the Scoop-n-Spread will consistently spread sand (wet, dry, or frozen), salt, or calcium chloride. The Scoop-n-Spread is hydraulically driven, and includes a valve for variable spread width. It is ruggedly built of 10 gauge steel with a powder coated finish for long life. It has a capacity of 1200# of wet sand; 12 cubic feet total. Our unique agitator system is the tool for efficient deicing. Utilizing our unique agitator design, the Herd Salt/Sand Spreaders are the most effective method of spreading any combination of sand (wet or dry) salt or calcium chloride.

• Hydraulic motor drive, with cable controls for (1) opening & closing gate and (2) hydraulic valve for variable spread width
